Q: Will it damage some factors in Serana serum if it is inactivated?

Answer: Heating can inactivate the complement system. Activated complement is involved in lytic events, stimulates smooth muscle contraction, releases histamine from cells and platelets, and activates lymphocytes and macrophages. Heat-inactivated serum is recommended for immunological studies, culturing ES cells, insect cells, and smooth muscle cells. Inactivation generally does not damage some factors in serum.
